We are starting a family-breathing program to meet a clear demand. Scores of parents contact us every month to help their children breathe better. Often they have just recently discovered the common connection between mouth breathing and chronic health conditions.
So many people in our society express their stress with rapid, short breaths, that frequently the parents unknowingly suffer from chronic hidden hyperentilation too. I love working with families to make breathing activities a fun, positive way to connect, rather than a chore for kids to complete on their own.
So Family Breathing Days -- an activity-based program for school-age kids and their grown-ups to transition from mouth breathing to full time nasal breathing -- was born.
Two independent sessions are offered at this time. They can be taken in any order, although ideally we advise taking Breathing Foundations first, then Breathing Conditioning second about a month later.
Here are the rough details:
Breathing Foundations - 2 hours
Breathing Conditioning - 2 hours
Cost is $125/family up to four people for the two-hour session. It's best not to do both sessions in one day to avoid overload.
This is for children ages 5-13. Families with younger kids should have a dedicated private session. Older kids can do this or the same personal coaching program we offer adults.
We'll hold a Family Breathing Day once a month, and mix them up between Saturdays and Sundays. Here's the schedule:
